Mohammad Bisri, MS inaugurated career structural officials of Echelon II, III and IV in UB’s surroundings, Monday (25/Apr/2016). The event that centered at Samantha Krida building was conducted to follow up Regulations released by Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 04 Year 2016 about Organization and Working Procedures (Organisasi dan Tata Kerja/OTK) of University of Brawijaya in 2016 which already set on 22 January 2016, and also positions suitability tests which has conducted on 20 March 2016.

In his remarks, the Rector delivered that inauguration should be executed in related with remuneration implementation. “Remuneration could not be implemented without any official ratification by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education,” he said.

Rector pursued, the officials who were inaugurated must work hard to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI). “Due to the essence of remuneration is providing rewards for ones who have good performance and punishment for ones who are not in good performance,” he explained.

Because of the regulation, then being reduced three Division Heads and 13 Sub Division Heads. Echelon II officials to be inaugurated were Dra. Ernani Kusdiantina, MM as Academic and Studentship Bureau Head; Drs. Slamet Kusnady, M.Si as General and Staffing Bureau Head, and Drs. Syarif Utomo, M.Si as Finace Bureau Head.

For Echelon III career structural officials to be inaugurated were around 24 ones, and echelon IV around 77 ones. Besides, being inaugurated also five people as administrative managers in Vocational Education Program.

In the end of the event, The Rector advised that an important thing should be of concern for all officials, are including ability to describe principal’s policy, mastery of the task, and also sensitiveness in identifying problems and solving them properly, quickly and precisely, and also an ability to take anticipative step related to the duties and responsibilities.

“Hopefully the new task could be accomplished by ladies and gentlemen properly, in the efforts to advance UB that we crave for,” he ended. [Irene/Humas UB/trans. Denok]
